The Manley FORCE is a four-channel vacuum tube microphone preamplifier designed for high-end studio applications. Born from the acclaimed Manley CORE®, it brings together the sonic excellence of high voltage vacuum tube circuitry with a meticulously crafted chassis, delivering a powerful force in studio recording.

Key Features

  • High Voltage Design:
    • The FORCE boasts four channels of real high voltage vacuum tube microphone preamplifiers. The high voltage design contributes to high headroom and high fidelity audio performance.
  • Craftsmanship:
    • Meticulously handcrafted in California, the FORCE features an ergonomic front panel with organized controls, rotary potentiometers, positive latching switches, and direct input 1/4" jacks. The chassis is exquisitely designed, making it a visually stunning addition to any studio.
  • MIC Input Transformer:
    • Microphone signals enter through gold-plated XLR connectors into the MANLEY IRON® Mic input transformer, ensuring pristine signal quality.
  • Variable Input Pad:
    • The input level control acts as a Variable Input Pad for line level or instrument level signals, offering flexibility in signal processing. Phase Reverse and 120Hz High Pass filters are also available in the circuit.
  • 12AX7 Dual Triode Amplification:
    • The signal is then processed through the 12AX7 dual triode amplifying stage operating in pure Class A, providing a classic tube sound.
  • Selectable Gain:
    • Each channel features selectable gain with options for 40dB or 50dB via front panel switches. An additional 10dB of gain is available via internal jumpers.
  • Output Stage:
    • The output stage is designed to be robust, capable of driving even challenging loads.
  • MANLEY POWER® Power Supply:
    • The innovative MANLEY POWER® power supply is specifically designed for high voltage vacuum tubes, providing 300 Volt DC rails, 6 Volt lines, and other voltage rails for phantom power and control voltages. It ensures high headroom and superior sonic performance.
  • Efficient Design:
    • Engineered for efficiency without compromising quality, the FORCE delivers strong Manley sound and rugged overbuilt construction.
  • Versatile Connectivity:
    • Each channel features a 1/4" DIRECT INPUT, similar to the DI found in the Manley SLAM!® and CORE®. This solid-state circuit with 10 Meg Ohm input impedance is suitable for guitars, bass, keyboards, and more.
  • Seven-Segment LED Peak Metering:
    • Each channel is equipped with seven-segment LED peak metering for instant visible feedback on audio levels.
  • Additional Controls:
    • The FORCE includes controls for 48V Phantom power, a 120Hz High Pass Filter switch, Phase Invert switch, and a Silent Input Level Control.
