MYBURGH M1
Introducing the M1: an innovative tube microphone that represents a groundbreaking leap in circuit design, drawing inspiration from legendary vintage models. Crafted by the collaborative expertise of Andrew Myburgh, Andreas Grosser, and Eckehard Dux, this microphone sets a new standard in audio recording excellence.
The M1 integrates a high-quality German-made Mylar M7 capsule, meticulously produced by Siegfried Thiersch, and a robust Russian military-grade long-life tube.
The M1's amplifier boasts an astonishingly linear frequency response, ensuring minimal cutoff below 30Hz and above 20kHz. This exceptional performance is further enhanced by the inclusion of two custom-built transformers, one within the microphone and another in the power supply. The amplifier's design, coupled with the precision-crafted German capsule and the innovative capsule headbasket design, synergistically contribute to the distinctive and unparalleled sound signature of the M1.
The M1 has an exceptionally low noise floor, providing a remarkably clean audio signal. With its robust output capabilities, it can handle sound pressure levels akin to your favorite FET kick drum microphone. Notably, the M1 offers variable polar patterns, with a primary highlight being its genuine cardioid pattern, affording versatile sound capture options.
