The SSL VHD+ Pre Module brings the highly versatile Variable Harmonic Drive (VHD) preamp technology from SSL's industry-leading large-format studio console, Duality, into a compact 500 Series format. This module provides a range of preamp characteristics, from ultra-clean SSL SuperAnalogue™ grade recordings to a switchable VHD mode, allowing for the introduction of harmonic distortion.
The SSL VHD+ Pre Module offers a wide range of sonic possibilities, allowing users to go from pristine, clean recordings to various degrees of harmonic distortion. This flexibility makes it an ideal tool for adding warmth, edge, or transformative distortion to different audio sources, expanding the creative options available in the studio.
